Union Street Dog Park Guidelines: Summary
Our approach for a safe and fun park is simple. We monitor our dogs while they are in the park and we intervene when needed to:
- Protect our dogs from physical injury
- Protect our dogs from illness
- Protect our dogs from emotional harm
Please follow these simple guidelines all the time:
- Clean up your poop immediately.
- Only come to the park if your dog is healthy, licensed, vaccinated, and non-aggressive with other dogs.
- Always pay attention to your dog (that usually means staying off your phone).
- Stop any aggressive behavior, including growling, too-rough play, or “ganging up.” These behaviors can escalate.
- We recommend calling your dog away from the entrance when other dogs arrive to avoid conflicts.
